Little Chatterbox - 3 to 5 years (Preschoolers) - Parent and Me sessions
Making reading a fun alternative for these little ones can sometimes be a challenge but at The Reading Garden we are up to that challenge.
These sessions are designed to peak your child's interest in reading and storytelling as well as build their fine motor skills. As an added bonus it presents an opportunity for you to bond with you child as the Creative Me part of the session requires you to assist your little one in crafting and bringing their thoughts/imagination to life!
Sessions are divided into three parts:
STORYTELLING - The story is read to the children.
The Reading Garden's signature JUMP IN involves the reveal props and other visual aides pertaining to the story. After the storytelling and discussion the JUMP IN curtain is drawn to reveal the props and when possible the children can "walk through" the story.
CRAFTY ME - The children, with the assistance of the Reading Garden instructor and their parent(s), will create a craft related to the book.
ALL the materials for crafts will be provided by The Reading Garden.
