Welcome to The Reading Garden - A New Chapter Begins

In an age where screens are everywhere, it's easy to forget the quiet joy of a well-told story. Children today can access anything at the tap of a screen, and sometimes books have to fight for their place.
Jacqueline Kennedy said it best: "There are many little ways to enlarge your world. Love of books is the best of all."
At The Reading Garden, we believe that. In fact, we are building everything around it.
Adding A New Branch With The Same Purpose
When I started The Reading Garden, it was about gathering children with their parents in a physical location to create memories and bonds while falling in love with stories through group reading, storytelling, and creative play. I often describe those in-person sessions as the best and most meaningful moments of my life. They were full of laughter, imagination, and genuine connection.
Parents are stretched thin in today's world, juggling longer workdays while children move from one scheduled activity to another. In the rush of it all, reading for enjoyment has quietly slipped into the background, and for some children, reading is a means to an end, something tied to school, tests, or homework.
Yet, the need for children to see books as magical, something they choose and love, has not changed!
That is why I am adding a new branch and relaunching The Reading Garden as a digital resource with the same heart but a new mission:
To help parents turn living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchen tables into story spaces, where reading becomes a daily joy! Not an extension of mandatory schoolwork. A place where every family can grow their very own reading garden.
Through tips, printables, storytime tools, and gentle encouragement, I hope to make it easier for parents to start or restart that journey. And yes... I am also working on bringing back live sessions, so we can share the magic of gathering to connect and fall in love with books and stories together.
